Scatter-Brained

My Traverse: click here. Follow.

I am all over the place with this logo.

Option One:
I wouldn't say this is the first one I came up with, but it's the oldest out of those shared here.

Option Two:
I wasn't sure how I felt about the placement of the boots, so I made four vector mountain ranges and played around with them a bit.

Option Three:
I don't like these at all, but they brought about my transition into the next two options. I liked the idea of tilting the mountains so I continued that theme through the whole logo.

Option Four:
Collectively, I like these the most. I believe the font works much better than what I was using before.

Option Five:
I especially like the second one from the right.

Ehhhh... I don't know..

White Tree Bags

Okay, so I'm doing some designs for a bag business. The designs are meant to be.. leisurely? Relaxed? Meant for a laid back audience with varied interests.. Independent movies, surfing, snowboarding, skating, local music.. and comfort food? People who occasionally dress up and would never choose a desk job. Yeah.. That's the person I'm looking for.

For those wondering about my reasons for a white tree, it is not from snow. It is from infrared photography. (For example or example) It represents a different way to look at nature. The bags aren't meant to be 'eco-friendly only,' though some styles may be, but I wanted to show a new way of relating to nature. The three brands won't be used as a single unit but a grouping of like ideas.

Stitched by Heart

Okay, so I'm making a web site and identity for a one-man quilting business. Let me know what you think.. This would be my first draft, so it is not very interesting. Be gentle. :)

Here is the logo isolated. It needs work. I'm open to suggestions.

Ehhh

Guys! I'm struggling! I was talking to Jen today about how I need to design something pulled back and.. classy? Anyway, I'm having a hard time not throwing massive buckets of crazy color in here. Tell me I'm being over-analytic please? Also, as typical with my mode of operation, this is a very rough mock-up of a gallery and bio page.

For those who don't know, Andy McKee is an acoustic guitar soloist. Internationally famous. Amazing! So good. You should look him up on YouTube and tell me if the site fits him.. cause his current site is lame. (http://www.andymckee.com/)

Here are some videos on YouTube for him:

The dude has some crazy hair styles. Not my idea.

Alright then.

Here is a more completed version. This actually has the business system in it. I hadn't made one by the time I did my last mock up which is why there was so much white space. (P.S. The business system was made in haste just to give you an idea of how the space would be used. Don't judge me too harshly!)

My personal logo is supposed to appear as a kind of watermark for pages showing my other work. I want it to be seen, but not focused on. I intend to make my home/landing page have more emphasis on my personal identity. These are more accurate colors too. Let me know what you think!

Whelp. It's Official

I've started designing my personal web portfolio. Here is a sample page. I realize there is a lot of white space, but I can't decide if I should make the featured logo bigger or keep i like it is and place a business system in the rest of the white space. (I haven't designed a business system for this mark which is why it is not featured here.) Let me know what you think!

Whoa. The colors are a little bizarre. They are a lot deeper than this image shows.. I made this .jpg from a .pdf. Sorry. I'll put a better one up when I get home.

Personal Identity: Revisited

I take it back. This also has nothing to do with Dave's interface class. This is the logo I have arrived at. I just made a business system for it, so I hope it is well received, cause I'd be super bummed to have to change it now.. Here it is:

Personal Identity

This has nothing to do with Dave's interface class.. But I'm posting it anyway. Alan is having us work on our personal identity.. and I'm not great with color. That's why all my personal photography is black and white.

Apparently the colors I chose to represent myself are not great.. so Alan told me to make tons of color examples.

BEHOLD:

Let me know what you like most and I'll take that into consideration. :)

Aboriginal: Revisted

Sooo... My previous layout had a lot of issues. I hope the way I've redesigned it makes it cleaner. Obviously, I still have a ways to go, but here is what has been done so far:

Does anyone even read our blogs? Really? Dave, are you out there?

Aboriginal: Coming Soon

So, here are the concepts I've whipped up for Dave. My HTML site is meant to be about the Aboriginals in Australia. They're kind of lame right now ('they' being my layouts not the Aboriginals)... But here we go. :]
